I was walking by a Brookstone today after leaving the [@] with my new iPad. Unfortunately, it was my second new iPad in two-weeks time. Seems the flimsy cover I had didn't help much when dropped from a nightstand onto a hardwood floor. Anyway, when I saw this "new" design, I was instantly drawn in. The overall construction is excellent and the keyboard...well, let me just say, for an iPad keyboard, it is very nice. I am using it to type this review now and I am extremely pleased. The keyboard is removable with a magnetic backing. This is a very cool feature. Though it is a bit bulky when closed, the one thing I can say is this cover will protect your beloved iPad. I would strongly recommend this product to road warriors or anyone that is looking for the best overall hybrid keyboard case.

The case is a bit pricey compared to similar cases, but there are features the others don't have. First off is the removable keyboard. While it does not remove much bulk from the case, the ability to reposition the keyboard allows you to adjust the viewing angle of the iPad. It's the only case I can use in bed as well as in the office without being disappointed in the viewing angle options.
I also like the way the cover protects the iPad. It's a bit bulky, but I feel better carrying it around to meetings all day and not worrying about dropping it with a less protective case.
A final feature I appreciate is that the case does not tend to tip over as easily as other cases. The grippy material helps to keep the iPad steady (another feature that helps with adjusting the viewing angle to your preference) and does not allow it to slide and fall backward. It does happen on occaision, but not nearly as much as other cases.
One feature I would like to see is a place for a stylus. I was clipping it to the sleeve that holds the iPad in place, but the material is thin in that area and it started to rip with my taking it off and on (plus it wasn't easy to get it on in that area).
It would get a five star if not for the fact that the bluetooth keyboard stopped synching with my iPad after several months. Was not sure if it was an iOS update (don't believe so) or something else, but the keyboard was charged and it indicated it was synched, but I could not get it to work. That was really disappointing. I had to go to a backup case which made me appreciate the features of this one all the more. After researching other options for weeks now, I am just going to exchange this for a new one and hope for the best. Fortunately, I did get the extended warranty on this.

I liked the nice quality leather and the keyboard worked fine. The problem was I barely used the keyboard, partly because tablets have big digital keyboards and mainly because the flap that closes cover is always in the way. You can rest your hands on it but it gets pretty annoying after a while. Finally, it never claims to protect it against drops I believe but there really isn't that much shock protection

I just received my ipad case and boy, it exceeds my expectations. I am super pleased with my purchase. I first ordered the $69 ipad case and transitioned to this. It is more convenient since I can position my ipad in 2 ways. Love the keyboard too. I love the convenience that it is removable and the magnets are excellent, it keeps the keyboard in place. the quality of this ipad case outweighs the cost. Thank you Brookstone.

The case is just about perfect. A little bulky, but classy and super-adaptable, whether sitting at a home desk, conference table, or with my iPad 4 on my lap in an easy chair. The holes line up perfectly, but some thought has to go into taking photos, since the cover could easily be in the way. The magnetic hold on the keyboard keeps it in place, and the magnet that keeps the case closed is strong. Esthetically, I wish the color were visible on the inside of the case, instead of my only seeing black. All together, though, I am simply delighted.
